Statia  was one of the great low profile stalwarts of our GAA Club and Community. During Jim’s long service as our Honorary Treasurer, Statia welcomed each of us into her home with generosity and kindness. She was always part of the organising and catering teams that made the Sale of Works, Poker Classics, Fashion Shows etc. the fundraising successes that maintained the club year after year. She nurtured the great on field successes of Jimmy, her grandchildren and family. Statia, Jim and her family exemplified the dependable voluntary service that builds our Clubs and Communities.

Our sincere sympathies to Aileen, Mary, Margaret, Brigid, Catherine, Jimmy and all the Leahy and Bourke family members. May Statia rest in peace.
