The parish community were saddened this New Year’s weekend to hear that Tony Kirby of Two Mile Borris had died.

Tony was part of our Treasurer’s Monday night ‘Lotto’ team that completed the administrative tasks efficiently and fairly.

In his youth Tony hurled with his native Killenaule. On moving to Two Mile Borris Tony’s red and gold allegiances extended as Anthony and Daniel progressed through the Moycarkey Borris juvenile and adult teams. Tony played a leading role in the Moycarkey Coolcroo athletics club.

A great Tipperary and Moycarkey supporter Tony was knowledgeable and great company. His positivity, friendliness and decency will be missed.

Our sincere sympathies to Peggy, Aileen, Trish, Anthony, Daniel and all his family.
