The Moycarkey Borris GAA Community are shocked and saddened at the untimely death of Mark McKenna (Coolcroo )after an accident. Mark won Mid and County Minor A medals with the Club in 1983. Playing in front of Goalkeeper Martin Cooney was a full back line of Seamus Morris, Michael McKenna and Mark McKenna. Mark was a fearless defender and gave 100% in every game. The team captained by his brother Michael defeated Sarsfields in the Mid Final, Carrick Swans in the County semi final and Roscrea in the County Final. Sadly Mark joins Christy Kelly, Thomas Gleeson and Mark Shaw as the fourth player from this panel that have gone to their eternal reward prematurely.

Our sincere sympathies to Mark’s Mother Lily, his Brother’s, Sisters, Family and Friends. May he rest in peace.
